एतन्मे संशयं विप्र हृदि शल्यमिवार्पितम्‌ । छिन्धीतिहासकथनात्‌ पर कौतूहलं हि मे

Transliteration

etan me saṁśayaṁ vipra hṛdi śalyam ivārpitam | chindhīti hāsakathanāt para kautūhalaṁ hi me ||

Translation

ជនមេជ័យបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ឱ ព្រះព្រាហ្មណ៍! សង្ស័យនេះរបស់ខ្ញុំស្ថិតនៅក្នុងបេះដូងដូចមុតកន្ទុយមួយ។ សូមកាត់វាចេញដោយការរៀបរាប់ប្រវត្តិដ៏បុរាណ (itihāsa) ព្រោះខ្ញុំមានក្តីប្រាថ្នាខ្លាំងណាស់ចង់ដឹងសេចក្តីពិតនៃរឿងនេះ»។
