न च प्रतिजघानास्य स गतिं पर्वतोत्तम: । तत्पश्चात् उन पर्वतशिखरोंसे वे सहसा आगे निकल गये। वह श्रेष्ठ पर्वत उनकी गतिको रोक न सका ।। ततो महानभूच्छब्दो दिवि सर्वदिवौकसाम्
na ca pratijaghānāsya sa gatiṁ parvatottamaḥ | tatpaścāt tu na parvataśikharaiḥ saḥ sahasā agre nirgataḥ | sa śreṣṭhaḥ parvatas tasya gatiṁ roddhuṁ na śaśāka || tato mahān abhūc chabdo divi sarvadivaukasām ||
ភីෂ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ ភ្នំដ៏ប្រសើរនោះ មិនអាចទប់ស្កាត់ល្បឿនទៅមុខរបស់គាត់បានទេ មិនបានវាយតប ឬរារាំងចលនារបស់គាត់ឡើយ។ បន្ទាប់មក គាត់បានឆ្លងផុតកំពូលភ្នំទាំងនោះដោយរហ័ស ហើយរុញទៅមុខដោយកម្លាំងដ៏ខ្លាំង ដល់ថ្នាក់សូម្បីភ្នំដ៏ល្អបំផុតក៏មិនអាចទប់ទល់បាន។ ត្រង់នោះ សំឡេងគគ្រឹកដ៏ធំមួយបានកើតឡើងនៅលើមេឃ ក្នុងចំណោមសត្វទេវតាទាំងអស់។
