व्यास उवाच प्रजानां पालन धर्मो राज्ञां राजीवलोचन । धर्म: प्रमाणं लोकस्य नित्यं धर्मनिवर्तिन:
vyāsa uvāca | prajānāṃ pālana-dharmo rājñāṃ rājīva-locana | dharmaḥ pramāṇaṃ lokasya nityaṃ dharma-nivartinaḥ ||
វ្យាសបានមានព្រះវាចាថា៖ «ឱ យុធិષ્ઠិរៈ អ្នកមានភ្នែកដូចផ្កាឈូក! ធម៌របស់ព្រះមហាក្សត្រគឺការពារ និងថែរក្សាសុខុមាលភាពប្រជារាស្ត្រ។ សម្រាប់អ្នកដែលរស់នៅតាមធម៌ ធម៌នោះឯងជាមាត្រដ្ឋាន និងអំណាចសម្រេចចុងក្រោយរបស់លោក។»
