सो<ब्रवीदहमासं प्रागू दंशो नाम महासुर: । पुरा देवयुगे तात भूगोस्तुल्यवया इव
so 'bravīd aham āsaṃ prāg daṃśo nāma mahāsuraḥ | purā devayuge tāta bhṛgor tulyavayā iva ||
គាត់ឆ្លើយថា៖ «ឱ អ្នកជាទីស្រឡាញ់ ក្នុងកាលបុរាណ—នៅសម័យទេវៈនៃអតីតកាល—ខ្ញុំជាអសុរាធំមួយ មាននាមថា ដំសៈ។ នៅពេលនោះ អាយុ និងស្ថានភាពរបស់ខ្ញុំ ប្រហាក់ប្រហែលនឹងមហាមុនី ភ្រឹគុ ដូចជាដូច្នោះ។»
नारद उवाच
