Bhīṣma–Yudhiṣṭhira Dialogue
सौवर्ण राजतं चापि यथा भाण्डं निषिच्यते । तथा निषिच्यते जनन््तुः पूर्वकर्मवशानुग:
sauvarṇaṃ rājataṃ cāpi yathā bhāṇḍaṃ niṣicyate | tathā niṣicyate jantuḥ pūrvakarmavaśānugaḥ ||
បារាសរៈបានពោលថា៖ «ដូចជាភាជនៈមួយ ត្រូវបានគេប៉ាន់ជាមួយស្រទាប់មាស ឬប្រាក់ ហើយដោយហេតុនោះ វាហាក់ដូចជាធ្វើពីវត្ថុនោះឯង ដូច្នេះដែរ សត្វមានជីវិតត្រូវបាន ‘គ្របដណ្ដប់’ ដោយកម្មពីមុន។ ព្រោះត្រូវបានចងក្រងដោយអំណាចនៃអំពើកន្លងមក មនុស្សនៅតែមានស្នាមសម្គាល់ដោយអ្វីដែលខ្លួនបានធ្វើ—រីករាយពេលត្រូវគ្របដោយបុណ្យ និងទទួលទុក្ខពេលត្រូវគ្របដោយបាប»។
