भीष्म उवाच एवमुकत्वा तु सा देवी तदा पशुपतिं पतिम् । तृष्णी भूताभवद् राजन् दहाुमानेन चेतसा
bhīṣma uvāca evam uktvā tu sā devī tadā paśupatiṁ patim | tṛṣṇī-bhūtābhavad rājan dahyamānena cetasā ||
ភីष្ម បានមានពាក្យថា៖ «ឱ ព្រះរាជា! នាងទេវី (បារវតី) បាននិយាយដូច្នេះទៅកាន់ព្រះបតី ព្រះបសុបតិ ហើយបន្ទាប់មកនាងស្ងៀមស្ងាត់។ ទោះយ៉ាងណា ចិត្តនាងត្រូវបានដុតឆេះនៅខាងក្នុងដោយទុក្ខសោក»។
