चिरकारि-उपाख्यानम् / The Exemplum of Cirakārī: Deliberation Before Irreversible Action
ते चेन्मिथो<धृतिं कुर्युर्विनश्येयुरसंशयम् । न हर्तव्यं परधनमिति धर्म: सनातन:
te cen mitho dhṛtiṁ kuryur vinaśyeyur asaṁśayam | na hartavyaṁ paradhanam iti dharmaḥ sanātanaḥ ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «បើមនុស្សទាំងឡាយធ្វើកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងគ្នាដោយចិត្តរឹងរូស—ចង់យក និងចង់សងសឹក—ពួកគេនឹងវិនាសដោយមិនសង្ស័យ។ ដូច្នេះ មិនគួរយកទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិរបស់អ្នកដទៃឡើយ—នេះហើយជាធម៌សនាតនៈ»។
