स एव हाुस्तमयते स सम विद्योतते दिश:
sa eva hāstamayate sa samaṁ vidyotate diśaḥ | sa eva yathāsamayaṁ ālasyaṁ chittvā samantād diśaḥ prakāśayati, sa evāstam eti sa eva varṣati | brahman! taṁ baliṁ ahaṁ mṛgayamāṇo ’pi na paśyāmi | tvaṁ me rājānaṁ balikaṁ ācakṣva ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ព្រះអង្គតែមួយនោះឯង ទ្រង់លិច ហើយទ្រង់ភ្លឺស្មើៗគ្នា បំភ្លឺទិសទាំងឡាយ។ តាមកាលសម័យ ទ្រង់បោះបង់ភាពខ្ជិលខ្ជាយ ហើយបំភ្លឺគ្រប់ទិស; ទ្រង់ក៏លិច ហើយទ្រង់ក៏បង្អួតភ្លៀងផងដែរ។ ឱ ព្រះព្រហ្មណ៍! ខ្ញុំស្វែងរកពលិ នោះក៏មិនឃើញ។ សូមប្រាប់ខ្ញុំ—សូមចង្អុលបង្ហាញព្រះរាជា ពលិ»។
