Adhyāya 214: Tapas Redefined—Perpetual Discipline, Hospitality, and the Ethics of Eating (तपः-निरूपणम्, विघसाशी-अतिथिप्रिय-धर्मः)
योषितां न कथा क्षाव्या न निरीक्ष्या निरम्बरा: । कथज्वचिद् दर्शनादासां दुर्बलानां विशेद्रज:
yoṣitāṁ na kathā kṣāvyā na nirīkṣyā nirambarāḥ | kathañcid darśanād āsāṁ durbalānāṁ viśed rajaḥ ||
ភីष្មៈ បានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «មិនគួរលេងល្បែងក្នុងការនិយាយអំពីស្ត្រីទេ ហើយក៏មិនគួរមើលពួកនាងនៅពេលគ្មានសម្លៀកបំពាក់ដែរ។ ព្រោះបើដោយចៃដន្យបានឃើញពួកនាងក្នុងសភាពអាក្រាត នោះរាជស (rajas)—គឺក្តីប្រាថ្នា និងការចងចិត្ត—នឹងចូលទៅក្នុងចិត្តបុរសដែលការគ្រប់គ្រងខ្លួនខ្សោយ។»
