अध्याय १७८ — प्राणवायुगतिः तथा शारीराग्निव्यवस्था
Adhyāya 178 — The courses of prāṇa-vāyu and the regulation of the bodily fire
न चैवाविहितं शक्यं दक्षेणापीहितुं धनम् । युक्तेन श्रद्धया सम्यगीहां समनुतिष्ठता
na caivāvihitaṃ śakyaṃ dakṣeṇāpīhituṃ dhanam | yuktena śraddhayā samyag īhāṃ samanutiṣṭhatā ||
ភីෂ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ ទោះជាមនុស្សមានសមត្ថភាព និងឆ្លាតវៃយ៉ាងណាក៏ដោយ ក៏មិនអាចទទួលបានទ្រព្យដែលមិនបានកំណត់សម្រាប់ខ្លួនឡើយ។ ទោះបីខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងដោយរបៀបត្រឹមត្រូវ—មានវិន័យ មានសទ្ធា និងធ្វើការខិតខំដោយស្មោះត្រង់—អ្វីដែលមិនមែនជាវាសនារបស់គាត់ ក៏មិនមកដល់ដៃគាត់ទេ។ សេចក្តីបង្រៀននេះបង្ហាញដែនកំណត់នៃអំណាចមនុស្ស និងជំរុញឲ្យឈរជាប់ក្នុងការខិតខំត្រឹមធម៌ ដោយមិនជាប់ចិត្តលើលទ្ធផល។
