अमोघा रात्रयक्षापि नित्यमायान्ति यान्ति च । यदाहमेतज्जानामि न मृत्युस्तिष्ठतीति ह । सो<हं कथं प्रतीक्षिष्ये जालेनापिहितश्चरन्
amoghā rātrayaḥ kṣapāpi nityam āyānti yānti ca | yad aham etaj jānāmi na mṛtyus tiṣṭhatīti ha | so 'haṃ kathaṃ pratīkṣiṣye jālenāpihitaś caran |
ភីស្មាបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «រាត្រីដែលមិនខាន—ភាពងងឹតនៃថ្ងៃ—មកហើយទៅជានិច្ច។ ព្រោះខ្ញុំដឹងច្បាស់ថា មរណៈមិនឈប់សូម្បីតែមួយភ្លែត ហើយខ្ញុំក៏ដើររស់នៅដូចជាត្រូវសំណាញ់របស់វាគ្របដណ្ដប់រួចហើយ—តើខ្ញុំអាចរង់ចាំបានសូម្បីតែបន្តិចដូចម្តេច?»
