Adhyāya 174: Karma as an inescapable companion (कर्मानुगमन-उपदेश)
ततः प्रज्वाल्य नृपतिर्बकराजं प्रतापवान् । प्रेतकार्याणि विधिवद् राक्षसेन्द्रश्नकार ह
tataḥ prajvālya nṛpatir bakarājaṃ pratāpavān | pretakāryāṇi vidhivad rākṣasendraś cakāra ha ||
បន្ទាប់មក ព្រះមហាក្សត្រដ៏មានអានុភាព បានបញ្ឆេះភ្លើងបូជាសពសម្រាប់ បករាជា ហើយបានអនុវត្តពិធីកិច្ចសពតាមវិន័យដ៏ត្រឹមត្រូវ។ ដូច្នេះ ព្រះអម្ចាស់នៃរាក្សស បានបំពេញការបូជាសពមិត្តរបស់ខ្លួនតាមប្រពៃណី—បង្ហាញថា ទោះជាសត្វដ៏សាហាវក៏ដោយ ក្តីស្មោះត្រង់ និងកាតព្វកិច្ចពិធីធម៌ ក៏ត្រូវបានគោរពនៅពេលមរណភាពមកដល់។
