स चाद्य दिवस: पुण्यो हतिथिश्चायमागतः । संकल्पितं चैव धनं कि विचार्यमत: परम्
sa cādya divasaḥ puṇyo hatithiścāyam āgataḥ | saṅkalpitaṃ caiva dhanaṃ ki vicāryamataḥ param ||
ភីស្មៈបានមានពាក្យថា៖ «ថ្ងៃនេះជាថ្ងៃមង្គល ហើយតិថីតាមចន្ទគតិដែលសមស្របក៏បានមកដល់។ ទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិដែលនឹងប្រគេនក៏បានកំណត់ដោយចេតនារួចហើយ; តើនៅសល់អ្វីទៀតត្រូវពិចារណា?»

Bhīṣma indicates that the present day and lunar date are auspicious and timely, and that the intended wealth/gift has already been decided upon; therefore he urges moving forward rather than continuing to debate.
