Tapas as the Root of Attainment (तपः—साधनमूलप्रशंसा)
कृपा : कर ् न फ सदैव शकुनास्तात मृगाश्चाथ तथा गजा: । वसन्ति तव संहृष्टा मनोहर मनोहरा:
kṛpāḥ karṇaphāḥ sadaiva śakunās tāta mṛgāś cātha tathā gajāḥ | vasanti tava saṁhṛṣṭā manohara manoharāḥ ||
ភីष្មៈ បានមានពាក្យថា៖ «កូនអើយ—ឱ ព្រះអម្ចាស់ដើមឈើដ៏ស្រស់សោភា! លើមែករបស់អ្នក មានបក្សីជាច្រើនស្នាក់នៅជានិច្ច; ហើយខាងក្រោម មានសត្វក្តាន់រាប់មិនអស់ ទាំងដំរីផង ស្នាក់នៅដោយសេចក្តីរីករាយ។ វត្តមានរបស់អ្នកក្លាយជាជម្រក ដែលប្រមូលសត្វមានជីវិតឲ្យសុខសាន្ត។»
