ភីෂ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ បន្ទាប់មក អ្នកប្រមាញ់នោះត្រូវភ្លើងនោះដុតឆេះ ក៏បានសាបសូន្យមលិនបាបទាំងអស់។ បន្ទាប់ពីនោះ ឱ ព្រះអង្គជាអ្នកប្រសើរបំផុតក្នុងវង្សភារតៈ គាត់បានឈានដល់សិទ្ធិដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់បំផុត។
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the moral logic of purification: even a wrongdoer (the hunter) can have sins exhausted and be cleansed when karmic consequences and expiatory forces fully mature, leading to a transformed end-state described as 'highest siddhi'.
Bhishma concludes an episode by stating that the hunter was burned in a fire; through that burning his sins were destroyed, and afterward he attained the supreme spiritual accomplishment, as Bhishma addresses Yudhishthira ('best of the Bharatas').
