Janamejaya’s Appeal for Pacification and Śaunaka’s Counsel on Humility (जनमेजय-शौनक संवादः)

कुरुष्वानुग्रहं सौम्य सत्यमेतद्‌ ब्रवीमि ते । निश्चिता खलु मे बुद्धिरतिथिप्रतिपूजने

kuruṣvānugrahaṃ saumya satyam etad bravīmi te | niścitā khalu me buddhir atithipratipūjane ||

ភីष្មៈ បានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ឱ អ្នកមានចិត្តទន់ភ្លន់ សូមមេត្តាអនុគ្រោះដល់ខ្ញុំ; ខ្ញុំប្រាប់សេចក្តីពិតដល់អ្នក។ ចិត្តសម្រេចរបស់ខ្ញុំបានដាក់មាំលើការគោរពបូជាអតិថិជនតាមធម៌។ ដូច្នេះថ្ងៃនេះ ខ្ញុំបានសម្រេចធ្វើការស្វាគមន៍អតិថិជនឲ្យល្អឥតខ្ចោះ—សូមទទួលយកខ្ញុំផ្ទាល់ ហើយមេត្តាដល់ខ្ញុំ។ នេះជាពាក្យពិតដែលខ្ញុំប្រាប់អ្នក»។
