नासम्यक्‌ कृतकारी स्यादप्रमत्त: सदा भवेत्‌ | कण्टको<पि हि दुश्छिन्नो विकारं कुरुते चिरम्‌

Transliteration

nāsamyak kṛtakārī syād apramattaḥ sadā bhavet | kaṇṭako 'pi hi duśchinnaḥ vikāraṃ kurute ciram ||

Translation

ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ មិនគួរបោះបង់កិច្ចការណាមួយ មុនពេលបញ្ចប់ឲ្យបានល្អប្រសើរ ហើយគួរតែប្រុងប្រយ័ត្នជានិច្ច។ ព្រោះសូម្បីតែបន្លាដែលដកចេញមិនល្អ—បើនៅសល់បំណែកមួយជាប់ក្នុងសាច់—វានឹងបង្កវិការយូរអង្វែង។ ដូច្នេះ ការធ្វើការឲ្យពេញលេញ និងការយកចិត្តទុកដាក់ជាប់លាប់ គឺជាគន្លឹះ; ព្រោះសំណល់តូចៗនៃការធ្វេសប្រហែស អាចក្លាយជាគ្រោះថ្នាក់យូរអង្វែង។
