भीष्म उवाच अत्र ते वर्तयिष्यामि नीतिमापत्सु भारत । उत्सृज्यापि घृणां काले यथा वर्तेत भूमिप:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | atra te vartayiṣyāmi nītim āpatsu bhārata | utsṛjyāpi ghṛṇāṃ kāle yathā varteta bhūmipaḥ ||

Translation

ភីष្ម បានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «នៅទីនេះ ខ្ញុំនឹងពន្យល់ដល់អ្នក ឱ ភារតៈ អំពីនីតិដែលត្រូវអនុវត្តនៅពេលមានគ្រោះមហន្តរាយ—ថាព្រះមហាក្សត្រ នៅពេលកាលៈទេសៈទាមទារ ត្រូវប្រព្រឹត្តដោយការសម្រេចចិត្តឲ្យទាន់ពេល ទោះបីត្រូវដាក់ចោលសេចក្តីមេត្តាករុណាក៏ដោយ»។
