भीष्म उवाच त्वदयुक्तोडयमनुप्रश्नो युधिष्ठिर सुखोदय: । शृणु मे पुत्र कार्त्स्न्येन गुह्यमापत्सु भारत
bhīṣma uvāca tvad-yukto 'yam anu-praśno yudhiṣṭhira sukha-udayaḥ | śṛṇu me putra kārtsnyena guhyam āpatsu bhārata ||
ភីष្ម បានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «យុធិષ્ઠិរ កូនអើយ! សំណួរបន្តរបស់អ្នកនេះសមរម្យ និងត្រឹមត្រូវណាស់; វានាំឲ្យកើតសុខសាន្តពិតប្រាកដ។ ស្តាប់ពីខ្ញុំឲ្យគ្រប់គ្រាន់ កូនអើយ៖ អ្វីដែលគួរធ្វើនៅពេលមានវិបត្តិ គឺជារឿងសម្ងាត់ មិនមែនមនុស្សទូទៅដឹងទេ។ ឱ ព្រះរាជវង្សភារ័ត! ចូរស្តាប់ធម៌សម្ងាត់នេះពីខ្ញុំ។»
