मयूरवद्राजधर्मः (Mayūra-vat Rāja-dharma) — The Peacock-Model of Protective Kingship
यस्तु सिंह: श्वभि: कीर्ण: सिंहकर्मफले रत: । नस सिंहफल भोक्तुं शक्त: श्वभिरुपासित:
yastu siṁhaḥ śvabhiḥ kīrṇaḥ siṁha-karma-phale rataḥ | na sa siṁha-phalaṁ bhoktuṁ śaktāḥ śvabhir upāsitaḥ ||
ភីष្មបានមានប្រសាសន៍ថា៖ ទោះជាសិង្ហក៏ដោយ បើត្រូវសត្វឆ្កែព័ទ្ធជុំវិញ ហើយនៅតែចូលចិត្តការងារនិងផលរបស់សិង្ហ វាក៏មិនអាចរីករាយនឹង “ចំណែកសិង្ហ” បានពិតប្រាកដទេ ព្រោះការបម្រើរបស់ឆ្កែធ្វើឲ្យផលសមរម្យរបស់វាត្រូវរារាំង និងថយចុះ។
