Adhyāya 118: Saciva-parīkṣā
Testing and Appointment of Ministers/Servants
मया स्नेहपरीतेन विसृष्टो न कुलान्वय: । यस्मादेवमपापं मां पाप हिंसितुमिच्छसि । तस्मात् स्वयोनिमापत्न: श्वैव त्वं हि भविष्यसि
mayā snehaparītena visṛṣṭo na kulānvayaḥ | yasmād evam apāpaṁ māṁ pāpa hiṁsitum icchasi | tasmāt svayonim āpannaḥ śvaiva tvaṁ hi bhaviṣyasi ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ទោះបីអ្នកកើតក្នុងវង្សត្រកូលទាបក៏ដោយ ខ្ញុំដែលពោរពេញដោយសេចក្តីស្រឡាញ់ មិនបានបោះបង់អ្នកឡើយ។ ប៉ុន្តែអ្នក—ជាមនុស្សមានបាប—វិញ ចង់ធ្វើបាបខ្ញុំដែលមិនមានចិត្តអាក្រក់ចំពោះអ្នក។ ដូច្នេះ អ្នកនឹងធ្លាក់ត្រឡប់ទៅយោនីចាស់របស់អ្នក ហើយពិតប្រាកដនឹងក្លាយជាឆ្កែម្តងទៀត»។
