Nīti-upadeśa to a Rājaputra: Self-restraint, Alliances, and Rival-Management (नीतिउपदेशः)
दातुमर्ति ते वित्त वैदेह: सत्यसंगर: । प्रमाणं सर्वभूतेषु प्रग्रहं च भविष्यसि
dātum arhati te vittaṃ vaidehaḥ satyasaṅgaraḥ | pramāṇaṃ sarvabhūteṣu pragrahaṃ ca bhaviṣyasi ||
ភីෂ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ព្រះមហាក្សត្រវិទេហៈ ជាអ្នកឈរជាប់ក្នុងសច្ចៈ និងមាំមួនក្នុងពាក្យសន្យា សមគួរផ្តល់ទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិដល់អ្នក។ ចូរបង្កើតទំនុកចិត្តរបស់ព្រះអង្គចំពោះអ្នក ដោយអាកប្បកិរិយាបរិសុទ្ធ និងកិច្ចការល្អឧត្តម។ បើព្រះអង្គប្រទានទ្រព្យដូច្នោះ អ្នកនឹងក្លាយជាគំរូដែលគេជឿទុកចិត្តសម្រាប់សត្វលោកទាំងអស់ ហើយជាដៃស្តាំដ៏មានប្រសិទ្ធិភាពរបស់ព្រះមហាក្សត្រក្នុងការគ្រប់គ្រង»។
