ऋषिसमागमः — युधिष्ठिरस्य शोकवर्णनम्

गता किल पृथा तस्य सकाशमिति न: श्रुतम्
gatā kila pṛthā tasya sakāśam iti naḥ śrutam | sandhiṃ kartum icchantī sā taṃ jagāda—“tvaṃ mama putraḥ” iti | kintu mahāmanāḥ karṇaḥ pṛthāyāḥ sāṃdhikām icchāṃ na pūrayām āsa ||
យុធិស្ឋិរៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «យើងបានឮថា ព្រឹថា (គុនទី) បានទៅរកគាត់ (កರ್ಣ) ដោយប្រាថ្នាឲ្យមានសន្តិភាព និងការផ្សះផ្សាររវាងយើង ហើយបានប្រាប់ថា ‘អ្នកជាកូនរបស់ខ្ញុំ’។ ប៉ុន្តែ កರ್ಣ អ្នកមានចិត្តធំ មិនបានបំពេញបំណងសន្តិភាពរបស់មាតាគុនទីឡើយ»។
