संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the moral complexity of righteous war: even when a grievous adversary falls and victory seems justified, the scene is marked by terrible, life-ending suffering. It implicitly contrasts the surge of triumph with the reality of fatal pain, reminding readers that dharma in conflict is never free from tragic cost.
Sanjaya reports to Dh5btar01636dra that the P01470davas, with K5b6347a, feel inward joy upon seeing Duryodhana killed by Bh2bma on the battlefield, likened to a wild elephant slain by a lion, and they do not dwell on the dreadful, fatal agony involved.
