Sacredness and purity are portrayed as qualities that can be intensified through grace and merit; Sarasvatī is singled out as exceptionally purifying, reinforcing the dharmic idea that blessings and righteous power can elevate a place’s spiritual efficacy.
The narrator-speaker Vaiśampāyana addresses Sarasvatī directly, granting a boon that she will remain more holy than other sacred rivers, thereby affirming her special status within the epic’s sacred landscape.
