गच्छन्नेव स धर्मात्मा समुद्रं सरितां पतिम्
gacchann eva sa dharmātmā samudraṃ saritāṃ patim
វៃសម្បាយនៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ ខណៈដែលគាត់បន្តដំណើរ បុរសមានព្រលឹងធម៌នោះបានឆ្ពោះទៅកាន់សមុទ្រ—ម្ចាស់នៃទន្លេទាំងឡាយ—ដោយចិត្តមាំមួនស្របតាមធម៌។
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse foregrounds dharma as an inner disposition: a dharmātmā advances with steady resolve toward his goal, suggesting that righteous character guides action even amid larger events.
The narrator states that a righteous person is continuing his journey and is heading toward the ocean, described poetically as the lord of rivers.
