वैशग्पायन उवाच पुरा कृतयुगे राजन्नार्टिषेणो द्विजोत्तम: । वसन्‌ गुरुकुले नित्यं नित्यमध्ययने रत:

វៃសម្បាយនៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ឱ ព្រះរាជា! នៅសម័យក្រឹតយុគ (Kṛtayuga) កាលពីបុរាណ មានទ្វិជៈដ៏ប្រសើរ អារតិសេណ (Ārtiṣeṇa)។ គាត់រស់នៅក្នុងគ្រូកុល (gurukula) ជានិច្ច ហើយខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងក្នុងការសិក្សាវេទ និងសាស្ត្រជានិរន្តរ៍។»
