शल्यवधे कौरवसेनाभङ्गः, भीमस्य गदायुद्धं, दुर्योधनस्य समाह्वानम्

न चास्य शासन केचित्तत्र चक्रुर्महारथा: । दुर्योधनने उन वीरोंको सान्त्वना देते हुए बहुत मना किया, किंतु वहाँ किन्हीं महारथियोंने उसकी इस आज्ञाका पालन नहीं किया
na cāsya śāsanaṃ kecit tatra cakrur mahārathāḥ |
សញ្ជ័យបាននិយាយ៖ ប៉ុន្តែ មហារថទាំងឡាយនៅទីនោះ មិនមាននរណាម្នាក់អនុវត្តតាមព្រះបញ្ជារបស់គាត់ឡើយ។ ទោះបីដុរយោធន៍ព្យាយាមយ៉ាងខ្លាំង ដើម្បីទប់ស្កាត់ និងលួងលោមវីរបុរសទាំងនោះ ក៏ពួកគេមិនព្រមគោរពតាមទេ—បង្ហាញថា ក្នុងកម្តៅសង្គ្រាម ការតាំងចិត្តផ្ទាល់ខ្លួន និងមោទនភាពយុទ្ធជន អាចលើសលប់សូម្បីតែព្រះបញ្ជារបស់ស្តេច។
