अध्याय १ — न्यग्रोधवनोपवेशनम् तथा द्रौणिनिश्चयः
Night at the Banyan and Drauṇi’s Resolve
दिशं प्राचीं समाश्रित्य हृष्टानां गच्छतां भृशम् । रथनेमिस्वनाश्रैव श्रूयन्ते लोमहर्षणा:
diśaṁ prācīṁ samāśritya hṛṣṭānāṁ gacchatāṁ bhṛśam | rathanemisvanāś caiva śrūyante lomaharṣaṇāḥ ||
សញ្ជ័យបាននិយាយ៖ «បែរទៅទិសខាងកើត ពួកយោធាពណ្ឌវៈដែលពោរពេញដោយសេចក្តីរំភើប និងរត់ទៅដោយល្បឿនខ្លាំង គេអាចឮសំឡេងគួរឲ្យរំជួលចិត្តនៃកង់រទេះរបស់ពួកគេ»។
