अध्याय १ — न्यग्रोधवनोपवेशनम् तथा द्रौणिनिश्चयः
Night at the Banyan and Drauṇi’s Resolve
नानातोयै: समाकीर्ण नानापुष्पोपशोभितम् । पद्मिनीशतसंछन्नं नीलोत्पलसमायुतम्
nānātoyaiḥ samākīrṇaṃ nānāpuṣpopaśobhitam | padminīśatasaṃchannaṃ nīlotpalasamāyutam ||
សញ្ជ័យបានពណ៌នាទិដ្ឋភាពថា ព្រៃនោះមានអាងទឹកនានាប្រភេទស្ថិតនៅតាមកន្លែងផ្សេងៗ ហើយត្រូវបានលម្អដោយផ្កាចម្រុះពណ៌ជាច្រើន។ ស្រះទឹកទាំងឡាយត្រូវបានគ្របដណ្តប់ដោយវាលផ្កាឈូករាប់រយ ពោរពេញដោយផ្កាឈូក និងមានក្រុមផ្កាលីលីទឹកពណ៌ខៀវជាប់ជាមួយ—ភាពស្ងប់ស្ងាត់ស្រស់ស្អាតមួយ ទល់នឹងស្នាមសង្គ្រាមដ៏សាហាវ។
