वैशम्पायन उवाच तद् वै श्रुत्वा भीमसेन: कुरुमध्येउत्यमर्षण: । स्त्रीगति: पाण्डुपुत्राणामित्युवाच सुदुर्मना:
vaiśampāyana uvāca | tad vai śrutvā bhīmasenaḥ kurumadhye 'tyamarṣaṇaḥ | strīgatiḥ pāṇḍuputrāṇām ity uvāca sudurmanāḥ ||
វៃសម្បាយនបាននិយាយថា៖ ព្រះរាជា! ពេលភីមសេន—អ្នកមិនអាចអត់ទ្រាំការប្រមាថ—ឮពាក្យនោះរបស់កರ್ಣ នៅកណ្ដាលក្រុមកុរុ ទ្រង់មានចិត្តសោកសៅយ៉ាងខ្លាំង ហើយបានអំពាវនាវថា៖ «អាឡាស! ការសង្គ្រោះរបស់បុត្ររបស់បណ្ឌុ ត្រូវពឹងផ្អែកលើស្ត្រីម្នាក់!»
