अनेन सत्येन निहन्त्वयं शर: सुसंहित: कर्णमरिं ममोर्जितम् । इत्यूचिवांस्तं प्रमुमोच बाणं धनंजय: कर्णवधाय घोरम्
anena satyena nihantv ayaṁ śaraḥ susaṁhitaḥ karṇam ariṁ mamorjitam | ity ūcivāṁs taṁ pramumoca bāṇaṁ dhanaṁjayaḥ karṇavadhāya ghoram ||
សញ្ជ័យបាននិយាយ៖ «ដោយអំណាចនៃសច្ចៈនេះ សូមឲ្យព្រួញដែលបានដាក់យ៉ាងមាំមួននេះ សម្លាប់កರ್ಣៈ សត្រូវដ៏ខ្លាំងក្លារបស់ខ្ញុំ!» និយាយដូច្នេះហើយ ធនញ្ជយ (អរជុន) បានបាញ់ព្រួញដ៏គួរឱ្យភ័យខ្លាចនោះ ដើម្បីសម្លាប់កರ್ಣៈ។ ខគម្ពីរនេះបង្ហាញថា ការសម្លាប់មិនមែនជាកំហឹងទទេទេ ប៉ុន្តែជាការប្រព្រឹត្តដែលត្រូវបានបិទត្រាដោយសច្ចៈ ហៅយកអំណាចសីលធម៌នៃ “សត្យ” នៅកណ្ដាលភាពចាំបាច់ដ៏សាហាវនៃសង្គ្រាម។
