यथाप्रतिज्ञं योधानां राधेय: कृतवानपि । कुरूणामथ सर्वेषां कर्ण: शत्रुनिष्‌दन:

Transliteration

yathāpratijñaṃ yodhānāṃ rādheyaḥ kṛtavān api | kurūṇām atha sarveṣāṃ karṇaḥ śatruniṣūdanaḥ ||

Translation

សញ្ជ័យបាននិយាយ៖ រាធេយ (កರ್ಣ) បានអនុវត្តតាមពាក្យសន្យារបស់ខ្លួន ដូចដែលបានប្តេជ្ញាចំពោះយោធាទាំងឡាយ។ បន្ទាប់មក កರ್ಣ—អ្នកសម្លាប់សត្រូវ—បានចាប់ផ្តើមបំផ្លាញសត្រូវទាំងអស់របស់កុរុ ដោយចិត្តដាច់ខាតរបស់វីរបុរសម្នាក់ដែលត្រូវចងដោយពាក្យសច្ចៈ ក្រោមទម្ងន់ធ្ងរនៃធម៌ក្នុងសង្គ្រាម។
