कर्णस्य दानप्रतिज्ञा–शल्योपदेश–वाक्ययुद्धम्

अन्वयु: समरे राजंस्ततो युद्धमवर्तत । राजन! तत्पश्चात् समस्त पाण्डव भी युधिष्ठिरको सब ओरसे घेरकर उनका अनुसरण करने लगे; फिर तो दोनों दलोंमें भारी युद्ध छिड़ गया
anvayuḥ samare rājan tato yuddham avartata | rājan tatpaścāt samastāḥ pāṇḍavā bhī yudhiṣṭhiram sarvataḥ gherayitvā tam anusaranti sma; tataḥ ubhayasainyayoḥ ghoraṃ yuddhaṃ samajāyata ||
សញ្ជ័យបាននិយាយថា៖ «ព្រះមហាក្សត្រ! ពួកគេបានជំរុញទៅមុខក្នុងសមរភូមិ ហើយការប្រយុទ្ធក៏ផ្ទុះឡើងម្ដងទៀត។ បន្ទាប់ពីនោះ បណ្ឌវទាំងអស់បានព័ទ្ធយុធិષ્ઠិរពីគ្រប់ទិស ហើយដើរតាមជិតស្និទ្ធ; ដូច្នេះ ការប្រយុទ្ធដ៏សាហាវបានផ្ទុះឡើងរវាងកងទ័ពទាំងពីរ។ វាបង្ហាញកាតព្វកិច្ចការពាររបស់មិត្តរួមសង្គ្រាម—ការពារអ្នកដឹកនាំដ៏សុចរិត—ហើយក៏បង្ហាញថា ពេលមានការតាមប្រមាញ់ និងការព័ទ្ធ ការសម្រេចចិត្តរួមអាចបង្កើនហិង្សាបានយ៉ាងឆាប់រហ័ស»។
