The colophon highlights an ethical ideal within a war narrative: dharmic strength is not only martial resolve and keeping vows, but also compassionate reassurance—especially by a wise guide like Kṛṣṇa—so that fear and grief do not overwhelm righteous action.
This is a concluding statement (colophon) marking the end of a chapter in the Pratijñā-parvan within the Droṇa-parvan. It indicates that the chapter’s subject was Kṛṣṇa’s reassurance and consoling words to Subhadrā.
