अध्याय ८० — मध्यंदिन-रणवृत्तान्तः

न हि मे जीवितेनापि विद्यतेडद्य प्रयोजनम् । भीमसेन रणे हित्वा स्नेहमुत्सूज्य पाण्डवैः,'सारथे! युद्धस्थलमें भीमसेनको छोड़कर और पाण्डवोंसे स्नेह तोड़कर अब मेरे जीवनसे कोई प्रयोजन नहीं है
na hi me jīvitena api vidyate ’dya prayojanam | bhīmasena raṇe hitvā sneham utsṛjya pāṇḍavaiḥ |
សញ្ជ័យបាននិយាយ៖ «សារថី! សូម្បីជីវិតរបស់ខ្ញុំ ក៏គ្មានអត្ថប្រយោជន៍សម្រាប់ខ្ញុំថ្ងៃនេះដែរ ប្រសិនបើនៅលើសមរភូមិ ខ្ញុំបោះបង់ភីមសេន ហើយកាត់ផ្តាច់សេចក្តីស្នេហា-សម្ព័ន្ធជាមួយបណ្ឌវៈ»។
