Daiva–Puruṣakāra Discourse and the Elephant-Corps Engagement (भीमगजानीक-सम्भ्रान्ति)
अप्राप्तामथ तां शक्ति पिता देवव्रतस्तव । त्रिधा चिच्छेद समरे सा पृथिव्यामशीर्यत,वह शक्ति अभी पासतक पहुँची ही न थी कि आपके पितृतुल्य भीष्मने समरभूमिमें उसके तीन टुकड़े कर डाले और वह भूतलपर बिखर गयी
aprāptām atha tāṁ śaktiṁ pitā devavratas tava | tridhā ciccheda samare sā pṛthivyām aśīryata ||
សញ្ជ័យបាននិយាយ៖ មុនព្រួញនោះអាចទៅដល់គោលដៅផង ដេវវ្រតៈ (ភីष្ម) អ្នកអាណាព្យាបាលដូចជាព្រះបិតារបស់ព្រះអង្គ បានកាត់វាចេញជាបីផ្នែកនៅកណ្ដាលសមរភូមិ ហើយវាបែកខ្ចាត់ខ្ចាយលើផែនដី។ ទិដ្ឋភាពនេះបង្ហាញពីការការពារយ៉ាងប្រុងប្រយ័ត្ន និងជំនាញសង្គ្រាមដ៏ល្អឥតខ្ចោះរបស់ភីष្ម ដែលអាចទប់ស្កាត់អំណាចបំផ្លាញមុនវាបង្កគ្រោះថ្នាក់។
