उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents
इष्टा वाच: प्रविष्टस्य दक्षिणा: प्रविविक्षत: । पश्चात् संधारयन्त्यर्थमग्रे च प्रतिषेधिका:
iṣṭā vācaḥ praviṣṭasya dakṣiṇāḥ pravivikṣataḥ | paścāt saṃdhārayanty artham agre ca pratiṣedhikāḥ ||
វ្យាសបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ នៅពេលដែលយោធាកំពុងត្រៀមចូលលុកចូលក្នុងកងទ័ពសត្រូវ ឬបានចូលទៅហើយ ប្រសិនបើពួកគេនិយាយពាក្យក្លាហានដែលជាទីពេញចិត្ត បង្ហាញសមត្ថភាពក្នុងសង្គ្រាម នោះពួកគេដូចជាបានធានាជ័យជម្នះជាមុន។ តែបើនៅមុខសមរភូមិ ខណៈពេលចូលទៅក្នុងជួរសត្រូវ ពួកគេជួបពាក្យហាមឃាត់ ឬបណ្តាលឲ្យទុក្ខទ្រាំ នោះជាសញ្ញានៃការបរាជ័យ។
