उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents
दिक्षु प्रज्वलितास्याश्व व्याहरन्ति मृगद्धिजा: । अत्याहितं दर्शयन्तो वेदयन्ति महद् भयम्
dikṣu prajvalitāsyāś ca vyāharanti mṛgadvijāḥ | atyāhitaṃ darśayanto vedayanti mahad bhayam ||
វ្យាសបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «គ្រប់ទិសទាំងបួន សត្វព្រៃ និងបក្សីស្រែកហៅដោយមាត់ហាក់ដូចជាកំពុងឆេះ។ ដោយបង្ហាញនូវនិមិត្តអាក្រក់នៃគ្រោះមហន្តរាយដល់ជីវិត សំឡេងរបស់ពួកវាប្រាប់ថា ភ័យធំមួយកំពុងខិតមក»។
