Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how collective aggression and martial pride rapidly amplify into mass conflict: when instruments of war and mutual challenges merge, disorder and violent collision become inevitable—an ethical reminder of how quickly hostility escalates once provoked and celebrated.

Sañjaya reports to the king that the battlefield has erupted in a deafening din: conches and war-drums sound together, warriors roar at one another, and both armies surge into a major commotion and clash.
