प्रभावज्ञास्मि ते कृष्ण तस्मात् त्वां याचयाम्यहम् । कुरुष्व पाण्डुपुत्राणामिमं परमनुग्रहम्
prabhāvajñāsmi te kṛṣṇa tasmāt tvāṃ yācayāmy aham | kuruṣva pāṇḍuputrāṇām imaṃ paramānugraham |
«ឱ ព្រះក្រឹષ્ણ! ខ្ញុំដឹងអំពីអานุភាពដ៏អស្ចារ្យរបស់អង្គ។ ដូច្នេះហើយ ខ្ញុំសូមអង្វរ។ សូមប្រទានជីវិតដល់កុមារនេះ ហើយធ្វើអនុគ្រោះដ៏អធិកដល់កូនចៅបណ្ឌុ»។
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights ethical intercession: recognizing a righteous person’s capacity (Kṛṣṇa’s prabhāva) and appealing to it for compassionate action. It frames the saving of life as the highest form of grace (paramānugraha) and as a dharmic act that benefits an entire community (the Pāṇḍavas).
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, a speaker addresses Kṛṣṇa directly, acknowledging his extraordinary power and pleading with him to grant a supreme favor to the Pāṇḍavas by giving life to a child who is in danger or has died.
