Rajo-guṇa-nirdeśa — Brahmā’s Enumeration of Rajasic Dispositions

भूतभव्यभविष्याणां भावानां भुवि भावना: । त्रिवर्गनिरता नित्यं धर्मोडर्थ: काम इत्यपि

bhūtabhavyabhaviṣyāṇāṁ bhāvānāṁ bhuvi bhāvanāḥ | trivarganiratā nityaṁ dharmo 'rthaḥ kāma ity api ||

ព្រះវាយុបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «អ្នកណាដែលនៅលើផែនដីនេះ ឲ្យចិត្តរវល់នឹងរឿងអតីត បច្ចុប្បន្ន និងអនាគត ហើយតែងតែជាប់ចិត្តនឹងគោលបំណងបី—ធម៌ (dharma), ទ្រព្យ (artha), និងកាម (kāma)—ត្រូវបានជំរុញដោយការគិតគណនាផ្លូវលោក។ ពួកគេត្រូវបានគ្របដណ្ដប់ដោយរាជស (rajas) ហើយត្រូវបានហៅថា ‘arvāk-srotas’ ដោយស្ទ្រីមនៃស្មារតីហូរចុះទៅរកវត្ថុអារម្មណ៍»។
