ज्योतिराकाशमादित्यो वायुरिन्द्र: प्रजापति: । नोपैति यावदध्यात्मं तावदेतान्‌ न पश्यति

jyotir ākāśam ādityo vāyur indraḥ prajāpatiḥ | nopaiti yāvad adhyātmaṁ tāvad etān na paśyati ||

វាយុបាននិយាយថា៖ «ពន្លឺ អាកាស ព្រះអាទិត្យ ខ្យល់ ឥន្ទ្រ និងប្រជាបតិ—ដរាបណាមនុស្សមិនទាន់បានសម្រេចចំណេះដឹងអំពីអាត្មាខាងក្នុងទេ គេមិនអាចឃើញយ៉ាងពិតប្រាកដនូវសភាពពិតនៃគោលការណ៍សកលទាំងនេះឡើយ។ ពេលចំណេះដឹងអាត្មាប្រាកដឡើង សេចក្តីពិតរបស់វាទាំងអស់ក៏ត្រូវបានយល់ដឹងដែរ»។

Without adhyātma-jñāna (realization of the inner Self), one’s understanding of even the greatest cosmic powers—light, space, sun, wind, Indra, Prajāpati—remains superficial. Self-knowledge clarifies the true nature of these principles and removes mistaken perception.

Vāyu is instructing the listener that spiritual insight is the key to right vision: until the inner Self is known, the realities symbolized by major deities and elements are not properly ‘seen’; with Self-realization, their essential truth becomes intelligible.
