Yayāti–Indra Dialogue and Aṣṭaka’s Inquiry

देवयान्युवाच किमिदं वृजिनं सुभ्रु कृतं वै कामलुब्धया,देवयानीने कहा--सुन्दर भौंहोंवाली शर्मिष्ठे! तुमने कामलोलुप होकर यह कैसा पाप कर डाला?

devayāny uvāca kim idaṁ vṛjinaṁ subhru kṛtaṁ vai kāmalubdhayā

ទេវយានីបាននិយាយថា៖ «ឱ សម្មិષ્઎្ឋា អ្នកមានចិញ្ចើមស្រស់! នេះជាអំពើអាក្រក់អ្វីដែលអ្នកបានធ្វើ—ពិតជាត្រូវបានជំរុញដោយតណ្ហាលោភលន់? អំពើបាបធ្ងន់ណាស់ដែលអ្នកបានប្រព្រឹត្ត!»
