वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights ordinary human (and especially social) behavior in a gathering: some engage in playful physical tussling while others prefer discreet conversation. Ethically, it underscores how communities contain varied temperaments—impulsive, playful, and reflective—and how private counsel (rahasya) often shapes public events.
A scene is described in which groups of women react differently: some physically hold each other back and exchange light blows in mutual scuffling, while others withdraw to a secluded spot and share secrets or confidential talk among themselves.
