अर्जुनस्य लक्ष्यवेधः
Arjuna’s Hitting of the Target at the Svayaṃvara
निखातं यच्च वै वित्तं केनचिद् भृगुवेश्मनि । वैरायैव तदा न्यस्तं क्षत्रियान् कोपयिष्णुभि:,किसी भृगुवंशीने अपने घरमें जो धन गाड़ दिया था, वह भी वैर बढ़ानेके लिये ही किया गया था। हम चाहते थे कि क्षत्रियलोग हमारे ऊपर कुपित हो जायेँ
nikhātaṃ yac ca vai vittaṃ kenacid bhṛguveśmani | vairāyaiva tadā nyastaṃ kṣatriyān kopayiṣṇubhiḥ ||
ហើយទ្រព្យដែលនរណាម្នាក់បានកប់ទុកក្នុងផ្ទះរបស់ពួកភೃគុ នោះ នៅពេលនោះក៏ត្រូវបានដាក់ចោលដើម្បីបង្កើនសត្រូវភាពតែប៉ុណ្ណោះ—ដោយអ្នកដែលចង់បង្កឲ្យពួកក្សត្រីយៈខឹងក្រហាយ។
