This verse states that although the Lord’s two gatekeepers fell due to a curse, they would return to their original position after only a few births.
In the narrative around Hiraṇyākṣa, Śukadeva clarifies that the powerful adversaries faced by the Lord are actually His attendants under a curse, and their deviation is temporary and divinely resolved.
Even severe reversals can be temporary when one remains connected to the Lord; the verse encourages faith that divine arrangement ultimately restores the soul to its rightful spiritual destination.
