This verse shows Paraśurāma viewing his act as svakarma—something done as a matter of duty—and reporting it to his father and brothers, highlighting the Bhagavatam theme of acting according to one’s prescribed responsibility.
Because Paraśurāma narrated what he had done as duty, and Jamadagni, as the father and authority in the narrative, responds with instruction and judgment, continuing the storyline.
Do your responsibilities conscientiously and then communicate transparently to mentors/elders or stakeholders—accountability and guidance help ensure duty is aligned with higher principles.
