欺いたブラフマーを制止し(罰する)ために、主(イーシュヴァラ)はその場で炎のリンガより触れ得る御姿を現された。主君を拝してブラフマーは再び起ち、手を震わせながら御足を抱き取った。

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Bhairava
Sthala Purana: From the fiery liṅga Śiva manifests in embodied form to check Brahmā’s deceit—punishment tempered by grace, restoring cosmic order and right knowledge.
Significance: Models the Siddhānta principle: the Lord reveals Himself (anugraha) when bondage-born error peaks; surrender at the feet becomes the turning point.
Cosmic Event: Theophany: Śiva’s emergence from the agni-liṅga to re-establish dharma and hierarchy among devas.
The verse shows Īśvara emerging from the fiery Liṅga to subdue ego and deceit; liberation begins when the finite self (and even cosmic authorities) surrender at Śiva’s feet in humility and truth.
The Liṅga is presented as the revelatory sign of the formless (Nirguṇa) becoming accessible as form (Saguṇa). Śiva’s manifestation from the fiery Liṅga validates Liṅga-worship as direct communion with Īśvara.
The key practice is śaraṇāgati (surrender): approach the Liṅga with reverence, offer water/abhisheka, and repeat the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while cultivating humility—symbolized by taking refuge at Śiva’s feet.
