Rudrākṣa Māhātmya — The Greatness of Rudraksha
ब्राह्मणाः क्षत्रिया वैश्याः शूद्रा जाता ममाज्ञया । रुद्रा क्षास्ते पृथिव्यां तु तज्जातीयाः शुभाक्षकाः
brāhmaṇāḥ kṣatriyā vaiśyāḥ śūdrā jātā mamājñayā | rudrā kṣāste pṛthivyāṃ tu tajjātīyāḥ śubhākṣakāḥ
「ブラーフマナ、クシャトリヤ、ヴァイシャ、シュードラは、我が命により生じた。同じくこの地上において、ルドラークシャもまた現れた——同一の起源より——吉祥なる『眼』、すなわちルドラより生まれし珠である。」

It establishes Rudrākṣa as a divinely ordained, auspicious Shaiva sacramental object—arising by Shiva’s will—meant to support the soul (paśu) in loosening bondage (pāśa) through devotion to Pati (Shiva).
Rudrākṣa is presented as ‘Rudra’s eye’—a tangible, saguna aid that orients the mind toward Shiva; worn while worshipping the Linga, it strengthens remembrance, purity of intention, and steadiness in japa and pūjā.
Wear Rudrākṣa with reverence and use it for mantra-japa—especially the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—as a disciplined daily practice aligned with Shaiva observance.
